UKCA certification-CE mark is extended again in the UK until December 31, 2024
After the end of the Brexit transition period, the new product conformity mark UKCA will be officially launched in Great Britain (including England, Wales and Scotland) from January 1, 2021. At the same time, the Northern Ireland Protocol will take effect from January 1, 2021. When the agreement comes into effect, the rules for placing products on the Northern Ireland market will be consistent with the relevant EU regulations. The rules were updated on August 24, 2021, and the CE mark can be extended to December 31, 2022 in the UK GB region.
On November 14, 2022, the British government once again updated the rules for the use of the UKCA mark
New rules:
The deadline for companies to use the UKCA mark has been extended, and they can continue to use the CE mark in the UK Great Britain (GB) market until December 31, 2024.
"The deadline for when businesses need to use the UKCA mark has been extended. You can continue to use the CE marking on the GB market until 31 Dec, 2024."
Old rules:
After the end of the Brexit transition period, there is a two-year transition period (one year was extended in the middle) during which the CE mark can continue to be used. That is, starting from January 1, 2023, products put on the British market cannot use the CE mark, but must use the UKCA mark.
