Thailand NBTC Certification Mandatory Regulations for Wireless Products

Detail Information
Product Description

Thailand NBTC Certification
Certification Introduction
Thailand NBTC is the abbreviation of "National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Bureau Committee". It is a typical government management department with administrative punishment power, similar to my country's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It is also the competent authority for telecommunications products and telecommunications networks. From July 1, 2008, the existing mandatory regulations for telecommunications equipment and telecommunications terminal equipment, which were originally for mobile communication products, will be expanded to wireless-related products. Generally speaking, mobile phones and other wireless products exported to Thailand need to obtain Thailand NBTC certification before they can be sold in the local market.

Thailand NBTC

Basic information of Thailand NBTC certification
· Mandatory certification
· Local representative required
· No samples

Thailand NBTC certification product classification

Telecommunications equipment sold in Thailand is subject to NTC control and is divided into 3 groups:

Class A: Registration

Class B: Approval Certification

SDoC: Supplier’s Declaration of Conformity

Class A Approval: Products must be tested in the laboratory designated by NTC and provide the data required by NTC before obtaining the registration number and certification certificate.

The Class B Approval certification procedure is the same as that of the Class A product category, except that foreign reports such as FCC, CE, CB... can be used for certification application in the transfer mode, and the registration number and certification certificate must also be obtained.

SDoC Declaration of Conformity (SDoC) This part of the product certification is a voluntary model. It must be completed by the customer's local representative in Thailand and the SDoC form must be filled out and submitted to NTC together with the technical documents for future reference.

NBTC has no specified label requirements.

The new product certification label draft introduces NBTC's electronic labeling method (E-labeling), and the NBTC label is proposed to be changed from free to charged. (All labels must be purchased from NBTC, and cannot be self-printed. The cost is one Thai baht per label.)
