HAST aging test
Project introduction
HAST aging test is widely used for accelerated aging life test of products related to IC semiconductors, connectors, circuit boards, magnetic materials, polymer materials, EVA, photovoltaic modules and other industries. The purpose of accelerated life test is to increase environmental stress (such as temperature) and working stress (voltage and load applied to the product, etc.), speed up the test process, and shorten the life test time of the product or system. It is used to investigate and analyze when the wear and service life of electronic components and mechanical parts will occur, what shape the failure distribution function of the service life is, and analyze the reasons for the increase in failure rate.
Purpose of HAST aging test
In order to increase environmental stress (such as temperature) and working stress (voltage and load applied to the product, etc.), speed up the test process, and shorten the life test time of the product or system, the test time used to determine the quality of the finished product has also increased accordingly in order to improve test efficiency and reduce test time.
Test application scope
HAST highly accelerated aging test is mainly used to evaluate the reliability of products or materials in humidity environments. It is completed by setting and creating various conditions of temperature, humidity, pressure, etc. in a highly controlled pressure vessel, which accelerates the penetration of moisture through the external protective plastic packaging and applies these stress conditions to the mold/device. HAST highly accelerated aging test has become a standard in some industries, especially in semiconductor, solar energy and other industries, as a fast and effective alternative to standard temperature and humidity deviation test (85C/85%RH—1000 hours).
Test categories for HAST highly accelerated aging test
1. Low temperature step stress test
2. High temperature step stress test
3. Rapid thermal cycle test
4. Vibration step stress test
5. Comprehensive stress test
6. Working stress test
Reference standards
IEC 60068-2-66:1994 Environmental testing-part2: test methods-test Cx: damp heat, steady state (unsaturated pressurized vapour)
GB/T 2423.40-2013 Environmental testing Part 2: Test methods Test Cx: Unsaturated high pressure steam steady damp heat
