What is Bluetooth BQB certification?

Bluetooth certification is also known as BQB certification (Bluetooth Qualification Body). In short, if your product has Bluetooth function and the Bluetooth logo is to be marked on the product appearance, it must pass a certification called BQB. All Bluetooth SIG member companies can use the Bluetooth word mark and logo after completing the certification. The Bluetooth word mark and logo can only be used for related products that have passed the Bluetooth qualification certification process.
With the continuous development and evolution of Bluetooth technology, we can see that the Bluetooth trademark has also undergone an important change. The background color of the Bluetooth trademark has changed from dark blue to bright blue. And the new slogan "unthinkably connected" means that the connection between people and technology that Bluetooth helps to establish will be beyond imagination, which means that the "new blue" will undoubtedly make our lives better!

Please note that another major change in the Bluetooth brand is the discontinuation of the Bluetooth Smart and Bluetooth Smart Ready trademarks.
The Bluetooth word mark is also a trademark, but its word mark cannot be changed and cannot be translated into any other language.
Regardless of the form in which the Bluetooth trademark appears, a footnote of its trademark must be added - "The Bluetooth® word mark and logos are registered trademarks owned by Bluetooth SIG, Inc., and any use of such marks by [licensee name] is under license. Other trademarks and trade names are those of their respective owners. "There is no special regulation on the font size of the footnote, but it must be clear and visible.

2. What conditions must be met to use the Bluetooth brand?

1. A company must become a registered member of Bluetooth SIG to use the Bluetooth brand.

2. Member companies must complete the qualification and declaration process through the online tools managed by Bluetooth SIG for products using Bluetooth brands that have undergone appropriate qualification certification and comply with the Bluetooth license agreement.

Note: Both are indispensable.

5. What information is required to apply for Bluetooth BQB certification?

1. Bluetooth Certification Application Form (Basic Information of the Product)
2. ICS/PIXIT (used to confirm the scope of the test)
3. Authorization Letter/NDA (Confidentiality Agreement)_Only used when QDL.
4. DoC/SDoC (Manufacturer Declaration)_Documents will be provided for signature when listing

Note: You need to register as a member of the SIG official website in advance and purchase a DID.

6. Currently, the Bluetooth BQB certification test accepts versions: 4.2 (inclusive) and above

7. Sample requirements

2 prototypes are required, 1 with RF cable and capable of entering DTM test mode (RF prototype), and 1 prototype that can work normally (with accessories).

8. Bluetooth BQB certification cycle

The test cycle is 2 weeks, and the report review plus listing cycle is 1 week.

9. Bluetooth BQB certification fee

The Bluetooth BQB certification fee includes two parts: (1) DID fee (charged by the Bluetooth Association); (2) application fee and test fee (charged by STS laboratory);

1. There are two situations for DID purchase:

The first one: free member (non-annual fee member)

11040 USD/DID, unlimited number of times.

The second one: annual fee member

For applicant companies with annual sales of less than 100 million US dollars: annual fee: 10350 USD/year; 5520 USD/DID, unlimited number of times.

For applicant companies with annual sales of more than 100 million US dollars: annual fee: 48300 USD/year; 5520 USD/DID, unlimited number of times.

Note:

1) The annual fee needs to be renewed every year (if you do not need to enjoy the discount in the second year, you can suspend payment, and the certification that has been completed will be valid for a long time);

2) After the listing is completed, it is valid for a long time;
