Attention out of Singapore, regarding smart sockets, Singapore has updated the CPSR-related guidance requirements. It requires whether the smart socket category products can be registered. To be more specific, the previous document only explained the main power socket (that is, the conventional wall plug). Portable sockets (usually power strips) should not be registered, so these two types of products cannot be intelligent products with remote control;
The current guidance requires the addition of multi-channel conversion sockets, cord reels and single-channel conversion plugs with USB and other controlled products, which cannot be remotely controlled;
Specific product images are as follows
Socket (i.e. regular wall plug):
Portable socket (row plug):
Multi-channel conversion socket products:
Reel:
Single conversion plug with USB:
Another point to note is:
The entire product of this single-channel conversion plug with USB is controlled according to the AC adapter. As an adapter, it is evaluated according to the power supply standard.
Plugs and sockets are evaluated according to modules to meet the requirements of 11 and 14
Single-channel smart conversion sockets are not under control and are evaluated in accordance with SS 145-3 standards.
The Singapore Consumer Product Protection Regulations 1991 designates the Singapore Standards, Productivity and Innovation Commission as the product safety functional agency responsible for licensing and registration of products covered by the Consumer Protection (Safety Requirements) Registration Scheme (CPS). Only registered products with the SAFETY mark can be sold in Singapore. The relevant units responsible for selling regulated goods to consumers in Singapore must register each model with the safety authorities. When logging in, certificates and test reports must be used to confirm that this model complies with the mandatory product safety labeling. At present, Singapore only requires safety, and it is only a voluntary principle for EMC.
Safety requirements: Under the requirements of IEC standards, products must also meet tropical conditions testing, and Singapore certification must provide a local agent, and the certificate holder is also a local agent. Products can only be sold in Singapore after obtaining PSB.
Singapore PSB certification
1. CB certificate and test report valid within three years (English version only)
2. Label (only a single model is accepted to apply for PSB, and applications for series models are not accepted)

4. Parts bill of materials (BOM)
5. Architectural/Engineering Drawings and Parts Lists
6. English user manual
7. Color photos, including exterior and interior (important safety parts) photo files
