Certification Introduction:

On March 8 this year, the FCC updated Part 15E, adding ultra-low power devices operating in the 5.925 ~ 6.425 GHz (UNII-5) and 6.525 ~ 6.875 GHz (UNII-7) frequency bands.

Compared with before the update, the updated FCC Part 15E has the following key updates:

1. The maximum e.i.r.p. of VLP equipment is 14 dBm, and the maximum PSD is −5 dBm/MHz e.i.r.p.;

2. VLP equipment can operate indoors and outdoors, but fixed outdoor scenarios, oil platforms, land vehicles, ships and drones are prohibited;

3. VLP equipment must first operate above the 6105 MHz frequency;

4.VLP equipment should adopt the transmit power control (TPC) mechanism.
