Japan PSE Certification(Diamond-Shaped, Circular, Mandatory)
Japan PSE certification introduction:
PSE certification is Japan's compulsory safety certification, which is used to prove that electrical and electronic products have passed the safety standard test of Japan's Electrical and Material Safety Law (DENAN Law) or international IEC standards. Japan's DENTORL Law (Electrical Devices and Materials Control Law) stipulates that 506 products must pass safety certification before entering the Japanese market. Among them, 165 types of Class A products should obtain the diamond-shaped PSE mark, and 341 types of Class B products should obtain the circular PSE mark.
From April 1, 2001, the "Electrical Products Control Law (DENTORL)" has been officially renamed as the "Electrical Products Safety Law (DENAN)". Different from the agreement-based control of the previous regulatory system, the new system will ensure product safety by unofficial organizations.
Certification classification:
According to Japan's "Electrical Product Safety Law", PSE certification is divided into two categories.
PSE Diamond Certification: Among them, there are 165 products that are likely to cause electric shock, fire and other accidents and are relatively dangerous, and are classified as "specific electrical products - called Class A electrical products", such as chargers, adapters, etc.;
PSE circular certification: The remaining 341 less harmful products are classified as "non-specific electrical products - called Class B electrical products", most of which are large and small household appliances, lighting products, lithium batteries, etc.
